Rev. Sonam Kabo is the BMI Regional Director for South Asia and the Nepali Diaspora populations.  Sonam’s wife, Rita, is the BMI Women’s Ministry leader for that region, and she is also the Principal of Elim Kid’s Academy, the Christian school in Kathmandu.   Despite the Pandemic, Sonam and Rita have been very busy with some in-person training and many online because of the severe lockdowns in Nepal.

See some of the highlights below:

  • Sonam continued with his teaching and training on Zoom technology with the SAN Kendra (Sarwangin Aguwa Nirman Kendra, which stands for Wholistic Leaders Building Center). Its Board Committee has agreed to integrate BTMP into their curriculum. Mr.Rabin Chaudhari who is the Academic head of this Center had been trained in the 7 Steps of Christian Living with Dr. Jonathan Burnham in Kathmandu.
  • Sonam conducted a  7  Steps of Christian Living course with a Christian leaders in Qatar Nepali Churches and 3 days teaching on Zoom for Nepali Church leaders in Alin, UAE..
  • Besides training Sonam has developed regional representatives in 7 Provinces of Nepal and Sonam is providing BTMP training on to each representative individually on Zoom.  
  • During the long lockdown, Sonam invested most of the time in organizing a prayer summit through Zoom and developed relationships with several top Christian Nepalese leaders around the world this year.  Sonam invited them to share their testimonies and share the Word of God as well during the prayer programs.  
  • Sonam had the honor of being the commencement speaker for the Everest Theological Institute in Kathmandu, Nepal.
  • Rita continues her very busy role of Principal as well as training Nepali Women from many countries.
