Encountering Christ for the Northern European States

On February 6-10, Dr. Jonathan Burnham and Dr. Vitaliy Sorokun conducted the second part of the Encountering Christ conference for representatives of the Northern European States in Minsk, Belarus. The first part of the conference took place in February 2016 in Moscow (https://www.burnhamministries.com/ministry-in-russia-and-belarus).

This time pastors from Belarus, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, and Ukraine gathered to encounter Christ through the study of the New Testament. The group represented four theological seminaries and three Bible training centers.

During the conference, Dr. Burnham emphasized the importance of mentorship – a personal investment of one’s life in the life of another growing Christian leader and called on the participants to make the mentorship multiplication movement the main focus of their ministry. The leaders were also encouraged to integrate BTMP (Biblical Training and Mentoring Program) in the curriculum of their theological training institutions.
