Sonam and Rita Kabo
Pastor Sonam Kabo directs the Elim Ministry Center. Sonam served as the translator for our first Ministry Training Conference for Nepalese pastors in 1989. Jonathan Burnham and Sonam quickly became friends and remained in contact while Sonam completed his seminary studies.  Soon after this, Sonam accepted an appointment by BMI to be our representative to Nepal and India. Sonam with the support of BMI, founded the ministry center, Elim Center (church) and Elim Academy in Kathmandu, Nepal. His wife, Rita, directs the school that now has an enrollment of nearly 300 students.  Elim Center also has a language training institute and a very large, yearly Christmas outreach.  Sonam and Rita’s ministry is far reaching as they travel throughout Nepal and India holding BMI conferences.  Sonam and Rita are the proud parents of two college-age young women, Keren and Priya.
